These pins were developed in response to some research with someone who has Sjrogren’s Syndrome and Ehrlos Danlos Syndrome. She enjoys sewing but has difficulty gripping small objects. These pins have a larger head than traditional pins, which have a ridge on top to easily slide the pins out of cloth. They have a flat base so that they do not pull the cloth up and damage it. These would be a useful addition to any sewing kit, particularly in teaching children to sew, as they are less easily lost, more easily removed from cloth and brightly coloured.
